EDUCATION SUPPORT PROGRAM
Support
1,315 Girls Supported under Education support program
Since 2001, CGC has provided support to a total of 1,315 girls through its education support program, with 49.2% (647 girls) from Luweero district, 31.7% (417) from Nakaseke district, and 19.1% (251 girls) from Kampala district.

Education Completion Rates Since 2001
Among the 1,315 girls supported, 66.8% completed their studies, earning certificates in various fields, 12.1% achieved degrees, 4% obtained diplomas, and 3.4% were supported up to S.4, as per the original program design. The remaining 13.5% are currently continuing with their education.
Status
Employment Status for the last 2 years
Over the past two years, among those who completed their education between 2022 and 2023, 63% are currently employed, 13% are self-employed, and 24% are actively seeking employment. In our commitment to assist those currently without jobs, in 2023, we entered into a partnership with Sourcing to provide university-educated girls with the necessary skills for a smooth transition into the workforce.
Rate
Retention rate at 98% for the year 2023
The retention rates have demonstrated a positive trend over the last two years. In 2022, our retention rate was 96%, reflecting a 4% decrease. This decline was further mitigated, reducing to only 2% in 2023. Consequently, the retention rate for the current year, 2023, has risen to an impressive 98%, underscoring a notable improvement when comparing the retention figures from the two years.
SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH & WASH
CLEAN WATER
ACCESS
Over 10,078 people have access to clean water from 20 water sources drilled and rehabilitated by CGC in the districts of Luweero and Nakaseke.

1,639 Reached through Sexual Reproductive Health interventions this year of 2023.

SUPPORTED
807 Girls were supported with Menstrual Hygiene Management kits in 2023.

UNDER CHILD PROTECTION
Through our child protection interventions, we have served 34,841 children in the districts of Luweero Nakaseke and Kampala.
YOUNG MOTHERS
SUPPORTED
Since 2019, we have provided support to 497 young mothers through our Safe Space project in Kamira subcounty, Luweero district.
