Mrs. Alice Ddamulira
Alice is the Board Chairperson at Concern for the Girl Child. Her passion is to empower people to maximize their individual potential while impacting communities positively as a Leader. She is a person of influence who has mentored people during the course of her formal career and voluntary service.
The Past President of the Inner wheel Club of Mengo Rotary and Current Director of St. Mark’s College Namagoma is passionate about impacting communities; as a Professional Teacher, Human Resource specialist with over 15 years’ experience. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Literature, Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management, PGD in Education, and Bachelor of Arts in Literature. Her desire to take on the scale of the challenge and ambition to embark on a mission to have transformational leaders and mentor students to grow into best professional human capital both locally and globally thrilled her to join CGC Board.
Mr. Daniel Mutumba
Daniel brings more than 15 years of experience in Accounting, Financial management, Auditing. Grants management, human resource management, risk analysis, accounting systems development, cost negotiations, procurement, budget management and strategic planning at national and international level.
He has passion for public speaking/mentorship having received training from the prestigious Franklin Covey Company and International Law Institute. With proven leadership and corporate governance experience at Board level having served on the US Embassy/Uganda Foreign Service National Cooperative and STEADFIN SACCO Board at chair and other levels. The leadership and technical skills he possesses are useful in achieving CGC’s Organizational goals and objectives.
Ms. Charlotte Oloya
Passion, tenacity, empathy and determination to transform and empower the lives of vulnerable groups, particularly women and girls are the forces that drive her. She is highly skilled and passionate country, programme manager and policy and advocacy specialist with over 14 years’ demonstrable experience in the nonprofit sector.
She has been a Board member at Teachers Empowerment Platform for over two years and served as secretary to a fastidious Advisory Board at Varkey Foundation for over six years. She has experience in finding strategic solutions to mind boggling challenges particularly in the field of Education, creating networks which support fundraising efforts, enhancing staff performance and resourcefulness, inter alia.
Ms. Marietta Naiga Matovu Mwesigwa CRCMP, CCM, B.COM
Marietta is a Certified Risk and Compliance professional (USA) as well as certified continuity manager from the National Institute of Business Continuity Management in USA. Member of International Association of Risk and compliance Professionals (USA), Uganda institute of Banking and Financial services.
Recognized in 2015 and 2018 as one of the top 40 female executives under 40 years of age who are influencing in their field of expertise in Uganda. She is mentoring younger ladies in the IT field under the group “she leads Tech” in order to groom female executives from the IT industry.
Ms. Faith Nabaggala
Faith Nabaggala, the proprietor of Gala Image Consulting, is a certified Image Consultant from the South African Image Academy, she holds a Certificate in Adult Finishing School from The School of Etiquette - South Africa. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Fine Art with a major in Advertising.
Additionally, she has over 9 years’ experience as a stylist and has appeared on one of Uganda’s top T.V stations NTV and Urban TV, as a style consultant. She is also a Bridal Consultant for the Bride & Groom Magazine. She serves as a board member to Concern for the Girl Child (CGC), an avenue she uses to inspire young ladies on how to discover and build their potential.
Mr. Joshua Mutumba
Joshua is the Director of Studies Mazzi Secondary Shool, CGC’s partner school in Mazzi Luwero. He serves as a board member to Concern for the Girl Child representing school teachers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from University of Tripoli, Libya.
Ms. Takali Mary Joyce
Mary Joyce is CGC’s Alumni and former beneficiary working with Kaludo Complex management as an Assistant Manager. She is a member of CGC’s Board representing beneficiaries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from Kyambogo University. She has got experience in different aspects of life including mentorship, leadership, life skills which she uses to influence and motivate other girls still in school aiming at achieving more in their lives.
